Title: University Cafeteria Redesign

Project Justification: I am going to renovate and redesign the Yorkville University’s Cafeteria.
The details of each and every step, from starting to the end of this project will be included in
process. The end result of this project will be to provide the students of the Yorkville University
an enjoyable and multifunctional Cafeteria area in the university.
Project Scope Description: The objective of the task is to develop a fun space for the students.
The project is estimated to be completed in 12 to 15 weeks. The smooth competition of the
project is one of the main goal. The project will be driven by the experienced people’s team. The
project team must ensure the labour must collaborate full to complete the project in expected
time. All the required materials will be provided to the workers, the workers will be motivated to
work at 50 hours a week and bonuses will be given to them. The experienced workers of every
field will be selected on the basis of their previous work experience, their work quality and as
well as their behaviour towards the goals.
Project Objectives: the main objective of this project is provide the university student a place to
enjoy, where the friends can sit and talk to each other. To provide the students best quality and
well comfortable furniture. The place will be multifunctional at the end of the project. And the
students will going to have a neat and clean café which will serve the good quality meals and
drinks.
High Level requirements:
The few main requirements that are very important are –

The engineers must approve the project’s design.
The end result of the project must able to fulfil the needs of the students as a Cafeteria.
The place must be well designed and every corner of the available place must be used in
a proper manner, to get the best output from the project

The sofas and the tables must be replaced and re arranged according to the new
arrangements.

The painting on the walls in a creative why as well as others designs on the walls.
The flooring of the cafeteria must be replaced with marble tiles
A fully functional café in the cafeteria that will serve hot and fresh meals as well as
various types of drinks.
• A big screen and few small screens for the entertainment of the students, and to provide
university’s news, upcoming events and important information to the students of
Yorkville University
Out of Scope:
The main scope is ti redesign the existing area, not to made any big changes like •

Changing the Ceiling or removing or rebuilding the Walls
The place should not be too much noisy, so we are not introducing and video games like
PlayStation or Xbox.
• We cannot make any big structural changes in the university as it may go out of the
budget.

The things to keep in mind while working on the project and making the plans are •

We have limited space, so every corner of the place should be used effectively.
We will have a limited budget which will be around $750,000 – $900,000
With the limited area to work and limited budget, we also going to have limited time to
complete the project. The time period will be around 12 to 15 weeks months.
Implementation Plan

In the first 1st and 2nd week we will revise the plan and find out what else can we change
for good or to get maximize output. We will arrange the people like engineers and
architect to design the place and to know what the resources that we need and the new
furniture etc.
In the 3rd the labor and the experienced workers will be arranged and the work will be
explained and distributed to them.
And from the 4th week the actual work will began, the work are will be ready by the end
of 4th week by removing all the old equipment and furniture etc.
Then form the 5th week the new work will start all the things will be closely monitor, any
problem appears will be solved immediately, whether it’s related to engineering,
resources and supply or anything.
The new work is estimated to complete in 10th to 12th week.

From the 13th week the whole plan will be rechecked to ensure that everything is perfect
if there will be anything that need to be corrected, it will be corrected in with in time.
And till the end of 15th week the place will be ready for use, the cleanup will be done,
details will be filled.

The budget of the project is going to be around $750,000 – $900,000
