What impact did your suggestions have for your client?

My suggestions helped my client a lot with bringing in more viewers and likes on her Facebook page! Checking the analytics for the page really impressed my client and they want me to continue to do so in the future.

What were your big takeaways from this assignment?

I learned that it can be very important to look at your analytics for your business pages and let that be your guide on what you need to do to proceed with how you run your page. You can post more, make other social media accounts, have WOM help with your business and so on.

2) Explain how you implemented the Consumer Behavior concepts, terminology and theories into your learning.

I implemented the concepts and terminology into the conversations I had with my client. This helped us both learned new things while helping her business grow bigger.

3) Discuss how you can use this experience in the future.

I plan on using this experience for my own business one day. I will have several social media pages and will need to know how they are doing as far as likes and views go. I will be able to check my analytics and know what I need to do!

1) Report the outcomes of your project.

We have not really been able to tell the impact as of right now. That does not mean that the advice will not work, but I feel that it will take a while to see the impact due to my client not having much of an out reach in the beginning. We have seen a slight increase in viewers, so hopefully we can continue to get their name out there and help them become more popular in the community. There were several big takeaways from this assignment. The first one was that social media has a much bigger impact on growth than I originally thought. I was always the type of person who never really cared about social media. So, being able to dive deeper into it during this class has really opened my eyes. The next big takeaway is that when it comes to business, change doesn’t always happen immediately. When implementing a plan, sometimes it takes time to develop, so do not be so quick to scratch an idea.

2) Explain how you implemented the Consumer Behavior concepts, terminology and theories into your learning.

I think that being able to implement the coursework into the project was very beneficial. It was quite fun, because my client and I were both learning at the same time. While implementing the concepts, terminology and theories, I learned that it is very important to understand who you are marketing towards. We wanted to go with more of a utilitarian concept in the plan.

3) Discuss how you can use this experience in the future.

I think that I can use this experience in the future to occasionally approach more businesses to see if they possibly had any questions about how they could better market themselves. If not, I could use the information in the future if I decide to open my own business.

After providing social media analytics and useful data to my client, he was very happy that
such a tool had made an enormous difference in marketing for his products. The client
retaliated that he had gained more knowledge on how to harness the power of social media
in the current world where most consumers are found. Contrary to other marketing
strategies such as print media where the information is conveyed without feedback, through
social media he would engage potential consumers on his products, receive questions,
complaints, compliments and respond to them. In this way, he can accurately measure the
impact of the marketing strategy.
2. My Next Steps and Suggestion
In addition to using social media analytics tools to provide data to my clients, the process of
reporting needs to be faster and easier. My next step will be to automate the reporting
process. An automated reporting process would provide useful information that tells the
client about their brand’s position in the market, current competition and make
recommendations on the strategies they can employ to boost their sales and achieve a
significant market share. I suggested to my client that he starts exploring the current trends
in the social media marketing sphere such as live-streaming and creating stories on Facebook
and Instagram.
