Propose a counter-argument (e.g., maybe moving people off of welfare is good
for the economy in the short term because we save taxpayers’ money, but it
might be worse in the long run if we don’t also provide job training).

Educational inequality is such a dilemma that every country is facing today. “The educational
system has been criticized as one of the major institutions by which inequality has been
perpetuated, especially in less developed countries.” (Education and Inequality ) People come
from different educational backgrounds with a different set of abilities and qualities. The
difference is because of different educational provisions. (The Problem We All Live With )
People generally talk about changing the principal, teachers, and course as well but still
students are lacking a basic understanding of their course. (The Problem We All Live With )
These measures are simply not working and they will not work unless the quality of education
is provided equally to the students. (The Problem We All Live With ) People think of achieving
equity in educational systems but the real question is to achieve both excellence and equity (
Savage Inequality Children in America’s School) . Equity can be considered to be achieved but
excellence is quite difficult.
Most of American Schools don’t provide equal opportunities in schools and colleges to
black and white students. They are more focused on white students while black students feel
left out and lack quality of education during their school tenure. This difference is deeply
inculcated in people’s minds and one cannot achieve quality and equity without getting rid of
this social disease of a black and white mindset. There is a significant gap in education between
high monetary standard students and the lower ones. The empathy gap between teachers and
students is also different a gap exists in such instincts. In order to achieve equity, first, this
empathy gap must be reduced ( Educational Equity Demands Empathy). The primordial
mindset of teachers and all people must be changed in order to fulfill this gap. Basic training is
requisite in this case and specially qualified staff as well.
Free or reduced-price lunch availability is developing a gap in educational systems. Some
students are provided with reduced prices others are not even considered for it. (The Gap
within the Gap: Finding A Better Measure of Student Disadvantage ) Some bright students get
all the privileges of the education system while the lower ones are no even near to quality of
educational stuff. This gap exists all around the globe. I believe it is necessary to perform tasks
that can eradicate this stigma from society. Only then educational equity along with excellence
and quality of education can be acquired.

and Social Science, 409(1), 135-145.
