I have attached the requirements and the articles to refer with it. Basically, I need a 5 paragraph answering the prompt. Please go through the attached file for the writing.
3rd Essay
For the 3rd essay of the course, use the 5-paragraph structure of essays we learned in
class to develop an organized argument for the prompt below.
Prompt: Why must young students be required to learn civics, especially during
Donald Trump’s presidency? Think of how teaching civics to children would influence
their views of society as they grow and why is it important for the community?
Civics = the study of the rights and duties of the citizens of a society.
In this essay, use at least 3 quotes/paraphrases/examples from any/all of articles
we read for this essay. The best option is to use one article for each body paragraph.
You must have at least 3 body paragraphs but may have more. Please include a
separate paragraph for the counter argument. Your essay must include an introduction,
3 body paragraphs, 1 counter-argument paragraph, and a conclusion.
General Rules:
1. This is a persuasive essay. That means you need to convince me about the point you
are making. So, at the end of each body paragraph, wrap up the main point of that
paragraph and say it again. This concluding sentence helps you push the readers’
attention back to the argument you are trying to prove.
2. Begin the first few words of each new body paragraph with a connection to the last
line of the previous paragraph.
3. Since this essay is persuasive, or in other words, argumentative, you must write it in
3rd person. Do not include first person pronouns (“I,†“me,†“us,â€Âetc.) and, as
always, NEVER say “you†or any 2nd person pronoun.
4. Papers must be 12pt. font, Times New Roman, and double-spaced. Do not add
space between paragraphs. Remember to add last name and page number in top right
corner.
