Description

Write a 1,400- to 1,750-word research paper that details the emerging developments researched by your learning team in the following areas:

Community-oriented policing

Use of cameras in policing

Cybercrime investigating

Technology use in all components of the criminal justice system

The paper is already done I just need to put it in a PP. This is a team assignment I was only responsible for the last bullet point. Slides need to be 3-4 slides. Please use as much speaker notes as possible with no plagiarism and plenty of details. Please format in APA. See attached for paper.

The criminal justice system is the system where criminals and crimes are detected,
apprehended, tried, and reprimanded. The system is made up of three components; courts, law
enforcement, and correction. Finally, law enforcement comprises of police officers who prevent
crimes, investigate crime incidences, and arrest crime suspects. Secondly, the court system is
made of judges, attorneys and juries. Finally, the correction system includes all forms of
sentencing and punishment.
Research shows that just like other major fields, the criminal justice system has
continually adopted technology across all its components. Today, technology is being
increasingly utilized by law enforcement officers and people in the legal system in combating
crime. However, even criminals are using technology to commit crimes. It is, thus, critical for the
components of the system of criminal justice to adopt and utilize even more advanced
technologies to fight crime. As noted by Ram (2017), it is the responsibility of the justice system
to protect human life and to keep the public safe.
There are numerous exciting technologies that play a very significant role in the criminal
justice field. One of the technologies is big data. Research shows that data is a critical part of all
industries. Collection of data in the criminal justice system helps legal specialists in multiple
ways. For instance, databases can store fingerprints and DNA that can be used in fast
identification of suspects. Furthermore, law enforcers can identify crime trends using data and
take quick action.
The other form of technology that is being used across the components of the criminal
justice system is rapid identification systems. These systems have emerged as a result of the rise

in big data. Research indicates that they allow law enforcement officers to quickly view the
criminal history of persons through a basic search.
Detection and monitoring systems are another form of technology that has vitally helped
in identifying and solving criminal activities. Some of these technological devices and facilities
include license plate scanning, scrutiny cameras, global positioning systems (GPS), and drones.
Drones are used by the police when they need an above ground view of a scene. Further, GPS
helps law enforcement officers track down criminals and access crime scenes with more ease.
Moreover, surveillance cameras assists in real-time capturing and recording of crimes and
criminal activities.
Finally, the use of paperless report writing is very important in improving the collection
of data and accuracy and saves money for policing departments. Additionally, in-car computers
and mobile devices that have applications that enable them to write on their tablets and
smartphones have multiple benefits (Wexler, 2018). There are also law enforcement robotics that
have also played a great deal in promoting public safety.
